Welcome to the Simpson Research Lab’s webpage at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Our research group studies arctic atmospheric chemistry with the goal of better understanding of how the unique conditions of the arctic region affects the transformation of pollutants. Our methods use spectroscopy to probe chemical composition of air, liquids, and solids. For examples of our projects, see the research page. Recent results are shown on the news page, and we show completed work on the publications page. Please feel free to check out who is in the group or contact us to find out more.
